Adeptus_Mechanicus vs tyranid battle report

The other day was able to play a great game of 40k using my tyrannids vs my friends Adeptus_Mechanicus army . It was the first time id ever seen them in action . The army is super elite and puts out a ton of damaging fire power at long ranges . The mission we rolled up was the relic . I moved up the center under withering weapon fire . He really put a hurt on my army . Thanks to lots of monsterous creatures and great dice rolling I was able to keep the fight up . Game went for the full random 7 turns finally pulling off a victory with line breaker , first blood and capturing the relic . By no means was the Adeptus_Mechanicus any easy army to fight . Flames of war Vietnam battle !

The other day . My friend and I played some flames of war veitnam . Love the setting and always enjoy playing it . I used an American infantry company vs his NVA infantry company . I deployed in the center for this " ambush mission " and had to take two objectives . Quickly I was surrounded and attacked . I constantly moved my forces aggressively trying to break through . No matter what the NVA stayed dug in and held there own . I assaulted in with a armored cav squadron of three Sheridan tanks and 113s . Horrible mistake RPGs began shooting everywhere destroying the whole squad to my horror . Then my advance continued to slowed down as two enemy companies just showered me with rifle and RPGs . A platoon of t54 showed up two my rear , lucky a cobra helichopter kept them busy . In the end I lost to a determined enemy . Great game and worth trying out for any one that's a fan of flames of war and interested in the period . Next up I'm working on terrain and minatures for the Nam brown water navy supplement coming out . Every one till next time , stay safe and happy gaming !!!

Pax east 2015 after action report !

Just got back from pax east 2015 . Like the year had a blast . My god friend and I just went up for Sunday . To see all what we could see . In the morning I wore my boarder lands 2 zero suit and headed in . So much great stuff to see . Some of the high lights for me . Blizzards over watch booth , wow that game looks great . The production value so high and action packed . Got to play some world of warships . Looking great . State of decay the zombie survial game looks good as well . Smite looked interesting too . On the smaller side a warhammer 40k moba was under devolve ebt looking good . So many great looking indie games as well . Watched the halo 5 tournement . 343 did a great job running it and was a spectacle to watch . On the table top side I picked up a game that caught my eye , Mobile Frame zero . A table top mech game all played with lego mechs that you build . Looked like a heap of fun so I picked it up . Finally got a copy of cards against humanity . Also picked up two expansions to my favorite party game at the moment the resiteance . After all said and done , well worth it ! Hopefully next year I'll be able to get a three day pass before it all sells out . Getting tickets to these cons are such a pain nowadays . Also we ran into Alex from the totally rad show ! So frigging cool to meet and see him . A pure genuine guy , who told us he has some new stuff in the works such as podcast and etc . Till next time every be good

Alien : the adora file ..aliens fan film

The makers put out request to video your self in full colonial marine getup in front of a green screen . Doing certain actions that they requested . So of course I put the smart gun rig on and shot some stuff for them to include . Lots of people have done the same , and the movie seems to be shaping up . Warhammer 40k and more 40k !

Ive been building and painting like a mad man . All types of minatures for all types ofdifferent game systems . But as for gaming I've been playing a lot of 40k . A good friend of mine has started a campaign for the sheild of Baal leviathan setting , for 40k . The story takes place in  a imperial sector over run with a giant hive fleet of tyranids . In the campaign there's blood angel space marines which we easily switched to my buddy joes crimson fist and imperial guard . My other friend bob also brought his grey knights into the fray . So we played to battles . First was a 3000 point game on a jungle plant where a civilian colony had been over run by Xenos . The battle was costly to the grey knights , but they were able to  squeeze out a victory . Next battle was a 5000 battle in a city . The imperial guard of the Astra militaruim rushed to secure a space port as a living tide of aliens assault through . Them to were able to hold long on enough to secure victory . But many lives were lost to attacking tyrannids . Great games , a lot of fun . The new leviathan campaign books are beautiful . With great stories and missions worth picking up .
